I started my hard stare at the media and its machinations during my Ph.D. program at The European Graduate School. The area of my studies was Media Communication, and my dissertation, The False Economy of Our Desires, took apart the current state of ‘spin’, and explained how it got to this point. This insight came in handy during the 2012 presidential election when I appeared as the Campaign Media Analyst for EBRU TV,  and looked at the the messages, the campaigns — the entire show — from both sides of the battle.
